If you are less than 20 weeks and have a pregnancy-related complication outside of normal business hours, please proceed directly to either the emergency room at Chandler Regional Medical Center or Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
If you are between 20 weeks and 35 6/7 weeks and are experiencing preterm labor or another pregnancy related complications, please proceed directly to OB Triage at either Chandler Regional Medical Center or Mercy Gilbert Medical Center for further evaluation. All routine questions should be directed to the office during normal business hours.
If you are 36 weeks or greater, please proceed directly to OB Triage at either Chandler Regional Medical Center or Mercy Gilbert Medical Center for any of the following conditions:
- Labor (you may generally wait until your contractions are 3 - 4 minutes apart, have continued for longer than an hour, and are strong enough to cause difficulty either walking or talking through them).
- Leaking of fluid
- Bright red bleeding or passage of clots (You may notice a pink or brown streaked discharge at term. This is a normal occurence following a recent exam or intercourse.
- Decreased fetal movement
When in doubt, it is always recommended that you be evaluated. During normal business hours, please contact the office for further guidance. After hours, please proceed directly to the hospital as outlined above. It is not necessary to contact the on-call physician first.
